Lee Corso Loses His Head
The biggest kidnapping since Lindbergh lost his baby is finally over. But who’s the culprit?
Over the weekend a slick theif managed to make off with Lee Corso’s big head that has been prominently used on ESPN ads like this one.
Even Erin Andrews was pleading for it’s return via her Twitter account:
But today the Corvallis police announced they found Lee’s noggin saying:
Employees were clearing the Game Day set when the mascot head was noted missing from its container box.
According to Oregon State Police Lieutenant Jeff Lanz, an Oregon State University employee called late Monday morning, Dec. 6, to report finding the mascot head near his personal vehicle at his Harrisburg-area residence.
Lanz said police do not believe that whoever left the mascot head knew the vehicle’s owner was an OSU employee who has asked to not be identified at this time.
Now that’s a big head.
